All our service users, families and care workers want to know that the choice they have made in choosing Respect Care Services will mean they are part of a quality service.
At Respect Care Services it is imperative all our employees are trained to meet the needs of our Service users. In order to achieve this we are constantly review what care or service is required to ensure our training is tailored to meet these needs.
All employees despite their previous experience are required to undertake our internal 5 day Care certificate programme upon joining the Company. This is reviewed annually. We also run specialist training for more complex areas of care. It is also imperative to our quality assurance internally that field staff are spontaneously checked whilst providing care so our Field Supervisor can obtain first hand evidence that our staff are providing the highest quality of care whilst ensuring the individuals needs and choices are met. Information from these spot checks are provided to Head Office.
We pride ourselves that the majority of our training and courses are run internally by our Training and Learning and Development team.
We encourage all employees to undertake an QCF previously NVQ in Health and Social Care and funding is available in relation to this. Employees are also encouraged and offered the opportunity to undertake courses such as Food Hygiene Certification and First Aid Certificates. All these courses are delivered by external companies or educational bodies accredited to do so.
